
During a paragliding flight above the Oigawa River, I was carried away by a tailwind and lost my sense of direction, drifting far beyond my planned return route.
The river stretched endlessly, and then Shiogou Dam suddenly appeared ahead like a wall blocking the way.
My altitude was already dangerously low.
Turning back was no longer an option.
This painting captures that critical moment — the fear, the decision, and the instinct to survive.
