This limited edition giclée print is based on my original F100 oil painting, which received the Special Prize at the 55th Tokyo Metropolitan Art Exhibition (2019).
Only five editions have been produced in F8 size.
While staying in Derby, England for an extended period, I visited the Tower of London after meeting colleagues at our London office.
Standing at the place where many executions once took place—a setting immortalized in Natsume Sōseki’s novel The Tower of London—I noticed the shadows of the trees dancing across the ancient stone wall.
For a moment, they seemed like spirits quietly moving through time.
As I watched, the worries and uncertainties I carried then somehow faded away.
This painting captures that mysterious experience, along with my memories of England and the emotions I felt before returning to Japan.
Recently, I found this ornate frame at a bargain price and mounted the print.
The black inner border enhances the contrast of light and shadow, making the figures within the shadows appear almost alive.
Limited Edition: 5 pieces only

A unique artwork that brings atmosphere, history, and quiet storytelling into a living room, study, or personal space.
